We are conducting a Global research on “COVID-19 and Transgender” and need your assistance in disseminating the information among your countries and communities.
The research team consist of Dr Karen Badalyan, the Executive Director of Eurasian Key Populations Health Network, Poland, Andreas Koehler & Timo Nieder from the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, Germany and Joz Motmans from Ghent University, Belgium. The study received ethical approval from the Local Psychological Ethics Committee (LPEK) at the Center for Psychosocial Medicine, University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (No.: LPEK-0130, Date: 01.04.2020).

The focus is on the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on health care for Transgender people, together with the possible consequences for the physical and mental health. In addition, we want to see whether Transgender people have a higher risk of problems resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic than others.
